How to install MS365 Applications

All CMP personnel should have access to Microsoft 365 (MS365) online. However, a valid license is required to download and install the MS365 desktop applications.

To request a license assignment or purchase, please submit a "Purchasing Request" through the ticketing system. Once the license has been assigned, installation can proceed.  Keep in mind to start the install you will need a member of the technology team to enter a special software installation username and password, please plan accordingly.

Sign in to download Microsoft 365 or Office

  • Go to www.microsoft365.com and if you're not already signed in, select Sign in.
  • Sign in with the account you associated with this version of Microsoft 365.
  • This will be your email address and whatever you changed your password to from the default, provided you are not still using the default.
  • From the home page select Install apps (If you set a different start page, go to aka.ms/office-install.)

  • Select Microsoft 365 apps to begin the installation.
  • At this point you will need a member of our technology team to enter the installation username and password.

Install Office

  1. Depending on your browser, select Run (in Microsoft Edge or Internet Explorer), Setup (in Chrome), or Save File (in Firefox).
  2. If you see the User Account Control prompt that says, Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device? select Yes.

Your install is finished when you see the phrase, "You're all set! Office is installed now" and an animation plays to show you where to find Microsoft 365  applications on your computer. Select Close.
